The
O'Reilly Emerging Technology Conference 2004
schedule is starting to look
interesting.
I'm sure I won't be the first to mention this but it's oddly
balanced, or even rather imbalanced.
I'm really pleased for
Russ
who gets a monster 3 hour session on day one -
The Joys and Wonders of Mobile Web Services with J2ME
now if anyone can talk for 3 hours on a subject he's
really excited about it's Russ! And mobile
tech (primarily as in phones) gets about 10 hours worth of
sessions in all which is great.
#mobitopia
guys
Chris Heathcote
and
Ewan Spence
also get some interesting sessions, Chris on
35 ways to find your location,
and Ewan on
OPL
(could it really be on anything else?).
I feel sorry for the Foaf folks though, apart from
Dan Brickley
(no relation to Dan Bricklin) and
Edd Dumbill's
Fear of a FOAF Planet - Acronyms and Activism on the Semantic Web
session (what a great title!), they get jammed into
a bunch of five minute sessions,
San Diego is a hell of a long way to travel from Brizzle
(ILRT
- Foaf's spiritual home) for a five minute talk.
