The Symbian Smartphone Show 2006
For coverage of other years see The Smartphone Show 2005 and The Smartphone Show 2007 pages.
The 2006 Symbian Smartphone Show was held on 17th-18th October at the Excel Centre in London, with the all important All About Symbian pub meet on the evening of the 16th at the Crosse Keys from around 6:30 onwards, the history of the AAS pub meet is a good read for background details, and this year you could win a Nokia N93 or Nokia E61! The Crosse Keys is in Central London and convenient for Monument, Bank, Cannon Street, Liverpool Street, and London Bridge stations.
The Nokia Champions also held a pub meet-up, given that there's fewer of them, they'd have been best off attending the AAS pub meet.

Tommi and the S60 bloggers were thinking of coming this year, and I even managed to buy Tommi a pint at the AAS event!
Things expected at the 2006 event:
- Shiny new Nokias, the Nokia N95 has to be the top of the lust list
- New phone announcements? It's been a while since the last Nokia Eseries (the Nokia E50) broke cover, and there's been no new UIQ Phones announced for a while
- The surprise new Samsung SGH-i520 when will it ship?
- The even more surprising new LG JoY
- Symbian's Smartphone Radio "podcasts" interview the keynote speakers, look for the underlying themes for this year's show
- Will the Smartphone Show Blog keep pace and maintain its irreverant approach?
- Will All About Symbian scoop even more news stories?
